ZEC HTR AB is a thermoplastic tubing especially developed for road vehicle air braking systems. The special Thermoplastic Polyester Elastomer polymer (TPE or TEEE) with which these types of low pressure tubing are made is the result of extensive research, aimed at offering a product on the market characterized by excellent mechanical properties and great flexibility. ZEC's HTR AB tubing is a high-quality product that guarantees reliability, pressure seal and resistance to chemicals and aging, within a wide range of working temperatures.
TECHNICAL FEATURES
Technical Features:
ZEC HTR AB thermoplastic tubing are especially developed for road vehicle air braking systems and comply with technical specifications under ISO 7628:2010 Standard.
ZEC's HTR AB flexible hoses meet this Standard with regard to Category 1 and Category 3. Unlike the traditional types of plasticized polyamide tubing widespread in the Air Brake system industry, ZEC's HTR AB tubing do not contain plasticizing additives since flexibility is guaranteed by their inner elastomeric molecular structure. This feature also promotes good long-term flexibility, without the inconvenience of tube stiffening due to the gradual leakage of the plasticizer over time.
The raw thermoplastic material used in making the ZEC HTR AB tubing improves the ability to anchor the fitting and features higher burst pressures and greater tensile strength at high temperatures. From a chemical standpoint, it has improved resistance to battery acid, salt, ethanol, oil, urea and ozone (in line with ISO 7628). Moreover, this material has an excellent elastic memory, ideal for spiraled and preformed tubing.
The working temperature of ZEC's HTR AB tubing range from -50°C to +100°C for Category 1 and from -50°C to +125°C for Category 3 (ISO 7628). For temperatures higher than room temperature (23°C), calculate the correct burst pressure using the correction factor determined through the chart shown in Fig.1.
ZEC's HTR AB tubing are in compliance with REACH (2006/1907/EC) and RoHS 2 (2011/65/EU) European Directives.
